Mancass was formed in the late 50’s as a sports and social club within BT. At this time there where many local sports and social clubs but as time progressed the clubs merged and eventually Mancass was formed in 1986 and we now have members in the North West and North East of England. 

Mancass organise Day, Weekend and longer tours throughout the year, including events for those who like to walk. We organise tickets for shows at the major Manchester Theatres and for the more active we have several gyms located in BT buildings.  Our other sporting section is called the Portland Golf Society who organise monthly competitions during the season and a yearly golfing holiday. The Portland Golf has been established over 50 years 

Also within Mancass we have a Rochdale sports and social section that greatly add to our overall package of events.

The activities of the club are open to BT employees and retired staff as well as friends and family, and to cater for the various ages of the members, Mancass’ programmes are suitably diverse.
